Poet, Filmmaker and Actor Kalpna Singh-Chitnis talks about her 2020 Silent River Film Festival
Founded in 2011 by writer and filmmaker Kalpna Singh-Chitnis, the “Silent River Film Festival” (SRFF) is known as a premier platform for independent filmmakers worldwide. The Silent River Film Festival was founded on the 40th anniversary of the City of Irvine. It is known as the first international film festival of the city nestled in the heart of beautiful southern California. Since 2011, the festival has showcased over 300 films from 38 countries. It is known for bringing new and established filmmakers together to share their best works of films and Cinema and Causes on one platform. After a short hiatus, the Silent River Film Festival is proud to be back, this time as a virtual fest. Due to the pandemic and its adverse effect on our industry, the festival will now take place globally online. The 2020 Silent River Film Festival will open to international audiences from August 7th-16th, 2020.
